Steamer
John Mitchell
A steel freighter many divers overlook, she is in 150 feet of water, but is upside down. The Mitchell collided in the dense fog with the Mack on July 10,1911 and sank quickly. She is located about 3 miles west of Whitefish Point. The Mitchell is a exciting wreck to dive with her intact engine room hanging upside down. Please remember there is only one way in & one way out of her.
